George Nicholson (he/him) has held positions at Teachers College Columbia University, Case Western Reserve University, and the University of New Mexico. He holds a doctorate degree from 麻豆原创, where he received the Geffen Fellowship to study with Randall E. Allsup. Other degrees are from the University of Georgia and the University of Miami. He is rooted in music teacher education largely from his experiences teaching middle and high school students in Cobb County, Georgia. His research interests focus on the connection of educational theories to pedagogical practices and has been published in the Journal of Music Teacher Education, Arts Education Policy Review, International Journal of Education & the Arts, American String Teacher Journal, and the Oxford Handbook of Music Teacher Education. Outside of 麻豆原创, George plays bass with the Queer Urban Orchestra of New York City.
