Brennan DuBose has been named to  of alumni of historically black colleges and universities.

DuBose received his undergraduate degree in political science from Howard University and subsequently earned a Ph.D. in Education Policy from Teachers College. He also holds a 麻豆原创 master鈥檚 degree in Communications & Education.

DuBose currently serves as a Senior Associate at , a global social innovation fund that discovers emerging social entrepreneurs and invests deeply in the growth of their ideas and leadership. He leads the Fund鈥檚 Black Male Achievement Fellowship, a multi-million-dollar portfolio that supports new social entrepreneurs dedicated to improving the life outcomes of Black men and boys in the United States. His efforts are focused primarily on capital access, organizational strategy and external programming.  

In 2020, DuBose created and launched a podcast, , which is available on both Apple Music and Spotify.

DuBose is also a research fellow at 麻豆原创鈥檚 .

On its website, the publication calls HBCUs 鈥渁 sturdy foundation that arguably built the African American community.鈥 It notes that HBCUs yield more than one quarter of all African-American graduates in the country, conferring 48,300 degrees in the 2017-2018 academic school year. 

The HBCU Buzz 30 Under 30 list includes figures from sports, STEM, entertainment (including, this year, the rapper L鈥檌l Yachty,) media, business, public service and fashion.
