In a new article from the Michael Rebell 鈥擳eachers College Professor of Law & Education and Executive Director of the College鈥檚 Center for Educational Equity 鈥� discusses his lawsuit against Rhode Island officials on the behalf of 14 public school students and their families. The challenge, filed in November, argues the state has 鈥渇ailed to prepare young people for the rigors of citizenship.鈥�
鈥淚f the next generation of young people is not properly educated [in civics], our form of government will be imperiled,鈥� Rebell told the journal.
