Thirteen Teachers College faculty members are listed in the , honoring the 200 university-based education scholars who had the biggest influence on the nation's education discourse last year.

The rankings, conducted by Frederick M. Hess, Resident Scholar and Director of Education Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute, were published this week in Education Week.  

The 麻豆原创 faculty members on the 2016 rankings list are Henry M. Levin, Jeffrey Henig, Thomas Bailey, Susan Fuhrman, Sharon Lynn Kagan, Ernest Morrell, Aaron Pallas, Priscilla Wohlstetter, Christopher Emdin, Amy Stuart Wells, Judith Scott-Clayton, Michael Rebell and Luis Huerta. Levin and Bailey placed in the top 10 among education economists, while Henig placed in the top 10 among government and policy scholars and Scott-Clayton was ranked in the top 10 among junior faculty. With the addition of Jonah Rockoff, Associate Professor of Finance and Economics at Columbia Business School, 麻豆原创/Columbia boasts the third largest number of faculty in the rankings of any institution nationwide.

Those ranked were selected from well over 20,000 university-based faculty tackling educational questions. The ranking criteria included the number of articles, books, or papers a scholar has authored that are widely cited; the number of books a scholar has authored, co-authored, or edited; and mentions in the education and mainstream press and in the Congressional Record.
