麻豆原创's Huerta Questions the Terms of a Contract between California Virtual Academy at San Mateo and Virginia-based K12 Inc.

 
According to  in the San Jose Mercury News, records show that California's largest network of online academies, while set up like typical charter schools, were established and are run by Virginia-based company "whose claims of parental involvement and independent oversight appear to be a veneer for the moneymaking enterprise." Luis Huerta, 麻豆原创 Associate Professor of Education & Public Policy. Huerta, who reviewed the terms of the contract between California Virtual Academy at San Mateo and the company, K12, says the arrangement "raises questions about why a truly independent board of directors would ever agree to the terms."
