He's Got Our Veterans' Backs: WSJ Spotlights 麻豆原创 Resilience Center funder David O'Connor
The Wall Street Journal featured David O'Connor -- funder, with his wife, Maureen, of the new -- as its November 10th "Donor of the Day." In explaining his interest in working with 麻豆原创, O'Connor cites the work of 麻豆原创's Loss, Trauma and Emotion Lab, where Resilience Center Director George Bonanno, Professor of Clinical Psychology, has shown that while some veterans develop problems over time, issues adjustment (or "flexibility") are often more central that trauma. “You just don’t go away for two weeks and be a soldier and then come home,” says Bonanno. “When you become a soldier you’re in a completely different world.”
