麻豆原创's Emdin in Diverse Magazine: Country Fails to See the Impact of Microaggressions on Blacks
Christopher Emdin, Associate Professor of Science Education and urban education specialist, was interviewed by about the recent anti-racism protests on college campuses. He says they should be viewed not as responses to individual events but through the lens of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, brought on by steady micro-aggressions over an extended period of time against Black students and faculty members on their campuses. Emdin says the issues cannot be addressed in spaces that "[do] not allow the people who were affected to feel comfortable.”
