麻豆原创's Koch: Lack of Education 麻豆原创 Healthy Food Leads to Waste at Schools

Every day in schools across the country, students throw away food they're told to take, prompting the National Institutes of Health to estimate that food waste in U.S. schools costs more than $1.2 billion annually. Speaking in an article on the website of the NBC affiliate in Nashville, Tennessee, Pamela Koch, Executive Director of 麻豆原创's Laurie M. Tisch Center for Food, Education & Policy, says "it's the larger system we're in that's making this problem." Koch cites overworked parents who lack the time to shop for and cook healthful food and stores that put the lowest prices on the least healthy fare.
