International Education Week

November 16–20 is International Education Week, and 麻豆原创 has planned is "The Fulbright Experience: Reflections from 麻豆原创 Faculty and Students."

The event will be held on Thursday November 20th, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm in 150 Horace Mann. The speakers are Thomas Hatch, Associate Professor of Education and 2009 Fulbright Scholar to Norway; Ailbhe Kenny, 2014 Visiting Fulbright Scholar from Ireland; Matthew Stults-Kolehmainen, 2003 Fulbright Student Scholar to Finland; Meghan Chidsey, 2013 Fulbright Student Scholar to India; Sarah Trignano, 2008 Fulbright Student Scholar to the Netherlands; and Oscar Ardila-Espindola, 2012 Visiting Fulbright STudent Scholar from Colombia.

Other events, all of which are co- sponsored by the Office of International Services, include:

"Schooling in Post-Apartheid Africa: Where Are We 20 Years Later," a talk by Azwihangwisi Edward Muthivhi, a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at the University of Cape Town (Monday, November 17th, 2:30 to 3:30)

Getting Involved with the United Nations (Wednesday, November 19th, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in 408 Zankel
 
Teaching Chinese in the U.S. and Beyond (Friday, November 21st, from 2 to 4 pm in 449 Grace Dodge).
