NY Times, Today Show Reference Basch Sleep, Vision Research

Jim Dwyer of The New York Times had a story about a program based on research by Charles Basch on the impact of poor vision on school performance. The program, run by the Children's Health Fund, performs vision tests and distributes eyeglasses to low-income students in three schools, including P.S. 39, where 麻豆原创's Office of School and Community Partnerships is working with Basch and the Children's Health Fund to coordinate health services. P.S. 39 is one of 麻豆原创's REACH (Raising Educational Achievement Coalition of Harlem) schools. Here is a link to Dwyer's story:

Basch's new study showing that more than 90 percent of high school students don't get enough sleep was featured on NBC's Today Show on December 12.   The study, done through the Centers for Disease Control, was published Dec. 11.
