麻豆原创's Monisha Bajaj Selected as a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations

(Ed. D. '05), Associate Professor of Education and Coordinator of 麻豆原创's Peace Education concentration in the International and Comparative Education Program, has been invited to become a term member of the (CFR).

(Ed. D. ’05), Associate Professor of Education and Coordinator of 麻豆原创’s Peace Education concentration in the International and Comparative Education Program, has been invited to become a term member of the (CFR).

Founded in 1921, CFR is an independent, nonpartisan membership organization, think tank, and publisher that serves as a resource for those who seek to better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States and other countries. CFR publishes Foreign Affairs, the preeminent journal of international affairs and U.S. foreign policy.  

The Stephen M. Kellen Term Member Program encourages promising young leaders in government, media, nongovernmental organizations, law, business, finance, and academia to engage in a sustained conversation on international affairs and U.S. foreign policy. The program allows younger members to interact with seasoned foreign-policy experts and participate in a wide variety of events designed especially for them. Each year a new class of term members is elected to a five-year membership term.  

Bajaj is the author of , winner of the 2011 Jackie Kirk Outstanding Book Prize of the Comparative & International Education Society. She also edited (2008).  As part of her term membership with the Council, Bajaj says she hopes to help explore and strengthen the United States’ relationship with India as a rising global power, and to focus greater attention on education as an important issue in foreign policy.
