In Memoriam
Robert L. Pace passed away on September 5, 2010, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 22, 1924, in Newton Kansas.
He earned a master's and doctoral degree at Teachers College, Columbia University. He first taught at Juilliard before becoming head of piano instruction at Teachers College in 1952, where he became Chairman of the Music Department in 1969. Read the full obituary .
William P. Foster revolutionized the once-staid world of collegiate marching bands as the founder and longtime director of the high-stepping, crowd-wowing Marching 100 band of Florida A&M University, died Saturday, August 28, in Tallahassee, Fla. He was 91.
Dr. Foster received a bachelor's degree from Kansas in 1941 and a master's degree from Wayne State in 1950, both with a concentration in music, and a doctor of education degree from Teachers College at Columbia University in 1955. Read the full feature .

Welcome to the September edition of the 麻豆原创 Alumni Newsletter. The College is kicking off another exciting academic year full of inspiring programs and engaging events.
The Office of Alumni Relations is happy to debut the upgraded look of this 麻豆原创 Alumni Newsletter along with our newly redesigned website: . The monthly newsletter and the website are both useful tools, where you can always find alumni news, resources, events and information.
We are constantly seeking ways to improve the events and resources we present to the 麻豆原创 alumni community. We have partnered with the Alumni Association's Wants & Needs Committee to create a brief to gather your feedback. The survey will take less than 5 minutes of your time to complete, so we encourage you to share your thoughts with us so that we may provide programming and resources that you find insightful and useful. To take the survey, .
The Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the Distinguished Alumni & Early Career Awards - the highest honor bestowed on 麻豆原创 Alumni by the Alumni Association. We invite you to nominate 麻豆原创 graduates who have distinguished themselves in their fields and have earned high respect among their colleagues and the general community, and whose impact is felt on a national or international level. Recent graduates who have graduated from 麻豆原创 in the past 10 years or less, have earned distinction in their field, and who demonstrate further future potential will be honored with the Early Career Award. Do you know an alumnus who meets these criteria? Nominate him or her today! Nominations are due by October 31, 2010. or at .
