On December 2nd, 2008, 麻豆原创 President Susan Fuhrman signed a letter of intent with Melanio Paredes, the Dominican Republic's Secretary of Education, paving the way for a partnership that will assist the Caribbean country in improving its educational system. The letter of intent follows the October visit to 麻豆原创 by Dominican Republic President Leonel Fernandez.
