As part of the Harlem Youth Jazz Arts Festival, co-sponsored by Cab Calloway Harlem Renaissance Center, 麻豆原创's Office of Diversity and Community, and the American Federation of Musicians Music Performance Trust Fund, The Cab Calloway Orchestra came to 麻豆原创 under the direction of Calloway Brooks "Prince of Hi-De-Ho," who is Cab Calloway's grandson. Students from P.S. 87, P.S. 165, Heritage High School and Mott Hall II attended the performance. Using his music, Brooks demonstrated what jazz is. He also talked about the instruments in his orchestra. At one point, he had one of the children "scatting" with him which made the crowd erupt with applause.
